An ideal route for those who want to watch the Turquoise sea with golden beaches and want to visit a historic city!
We depart from the center of Marmaris and move on a straight road until İçmeler. After there, the climb begins. But you’ll find many fountains on the road. Natural spring waters will help us when we’re climbing.
“Turunç” means bitter orange. This region is the host of this kind of citrus. In addition to fruit trees, you’ll see the green mountains meet with a very clean sea in Turunç. You can also visit many restaurants serving local and national menus. And remember that the bays are very suitable for diving.
After Turunç, we’re heading for the Ancient City of Amos. On a hill by the sea, it’s possible to see the ruins of ancient theatres, temples and sculptures.
Next direction is Kumlubuk. We’ll climb through the sweetgums and watch the blue bays from a bird’s eye view. A very good point for photography. Climbing may be one of the most challenging climbs of the Marmaris courses. We’ll reach the summit at Palamuttepe, then descend to the center of Marmaris via İçmeler.
